The Chinese Zodiac can be seen as a mirror that reflects the relationship of cosmic energies with each person. The energy of each individual subject is represented by one of the twelve Chinese Horoscope animals and their place in the zodiac is determined by your date of birth. These energies are embodied in our behavior and our perception of the world. Each Chinese Zodiac sign has a different animal name and it corresponds to a period equivalent to one year of the Chinese calendar. That person born in any one year "Year of the Dragon" is a Dragon in the Chinese Zodiac Calendar. If the person was born in the period "Year of the Rooster" is a Rooster. Therefore, it is enough to know the year of birth to find out which of the twelve Chinese Zodiac signs corresponds to a person.

According to the Chinese calendar, based on the moon, the New Year does not begin  in January, as in our culture, it has a different date every year, which usually occurs between mid-January and late February. The symbolic animals of the Chinese Zodiac are: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig, which always appear in the order mentioned.

For many people the Chinese Horoscope is limited to knowing who was born in a year, that each animal has  a name, and it is normal to say things like "I am a dog" when they should say "I was born in the Year of the Dog." But this is more important. Knowing what our animal is in the Chinese horoscope, will enable us to find the person who is most compatible with us for the rest of life, to  whom to have  as friends, to who of enemies and how to act towards life, according to the Zodiac animals we have.
